This jacket is made from a light/medium weight antique cotton quilt featuring a vibrant six point star pattern. So many gorgeous and delicate fabric prints; florals, stripes, polka dots and completely hand pieced and hand quilted. Dating from at least 1930’s, perhaps earlier. Butterly soft and wonderful drape to the garment. There are some worn areas to the older fabrics, that has been reinforced entirely. Adds to the charm. DM for further images. This is a very special piece. This jacket features a generous straight cut silhouette. It swings and moves on the body beautifully, giving it a relaxed yet tastefully artful look.
-
This jacket showcases a loosely draped shawl collar complementing the intentionally placed pattern of the quilt.
-
This jacket has an exaggerated drop shoulder with a slight dolman curve to the underarm.
-
The sleeve is slightly narrowed creating a more flattering look with the oversized cut.
