For those unfamiliar, the Boat and Tote is a iconic piece of Americana history from LL BEAN. Originating as an ice carrier in 1944, L.L. Bean founder Leon Leonwood Bean repurposed it for transporting ice to his cabin in the woods of Maine. Reimagined as the Boat & Tote in 1965, it has become LL BEAN’s top-selling accessory, maintaining durability with the same double-layered material used in conveyor belts—ensuring longevity for generations.

With virtually indestructible qualities and proudly made in the USA, these totes are expertly designed to be your everyday companion, aging gracefully over the years. Limited quantities available—secure your piece of American heritage!

Fabric & Care:
