ANTIQUE AMERICAN Early 1900's Crazy Quilt

This jaw-dropping jacket crafted from an 1930's (perhaps earlier) antique primitive scrap quilt is a true sartorial masterpiece that encapsulates the beauty and essence of the Americana spirit.  This quilt is a novelty print collector’s dream; aka the holy grail of prints and each one, in great condition. Every color and pattern under the sun, tastefully placed together. These unique scrap/crazy quilts hold a special place in my heart as they are crafted from leftover fabrics, creating not just one-of-a-kind pieces, but also serving as captivating ethnographies of the time they originated—a true testament to the art of reusing and repurposing.

True to the early 1900's, the quilt top is hand sewn/hand pieced. The backing and border were machine stitched and why it has a later date of completion. Midweight and filled with wool roving. A magical quilt and fit for all seasons.

Hand-sewn buttonholes accompanied by vintage horn buttons, professionally bound seams using vintage Ralph Lauren fabric reflect the unwavering attention to detail invested in this extraordinary creation. Three external pockets adds convenience, and a vintage label, individually embroidered in-house, further enhances the garment's authenticity. More than just clothing, this is wearable folk art—a testament to Americana's rich tapestry. This is a real collector's item surely to leave a lasting impression and making it a coveted addition to your wardrobe. One of a kind hero garment for any collector's wardrobe.

The oversized chore coat silhouette flatters diverse body types, paying homage to the enduring appeal of American workwear. This is a real collector's item surely to leave a lasting impression and making it a coveted addition to your wardrobe.
